I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
